About

Built in Aotearoa, for the people who actually move it.

Lazi was built for the operators who actually move New Zealand — civil contractors, engineering workshops, and tipper fleets all running empty legs because the existing load boards never understood heavy equipment. The premise: a NZ-built network where operators own the relationships and the platform stays out of the way.

Why we built it

A tipper drops aggregate at a rural subdivision, then drives 45 minutes back to town completely empty. That same day, an engineering workshop pays $800 for dedicated freight to send a fabricated conveyor frame to a client a few towns over. Neither party knew about the other. The tipper burnt $150 of fuel and RUC for nothing.

Existing NZ platforms (GoBackload, FindATruckLoad) are static load boards designed for household moves. No GPS awareness, no equipment filtering, no real-time notifications, no payment rail. They fundamentally don’t work for heavy and civil transport where equipment compatibility is the first question, not the last.

How we're different

Equipment-first

Tipper, flatbed, low-loader, crane truck: the matching engine starts with equipment compatibility, not destination. No more scrolling past 80% of loads that don’t fit your gear.

Network, not marketplace

Trusted Circles let you share capacity with the operators you actually know. Direct, network, or public: you pick per post. The network grows through trust, not marketing spend.

Built with you, not for you

Beta partners across New Zealand are shaping the product in real time. We ship weekly. Feedback turns into code, not roadmap slides.

Who runs it

Lazi is designed by the minds at two:am, working closely with beta partners across New Zealand (civil contractors, a state-highway carrier, and an engineering workshop) to build the kind of platform operators actually want to use.

What we will never do

  • • Sell your fleet locations to insurers or marketers.
  • • Charge a subscription to use the platform. Fees fire only on completed matches and are itemised before you accept.
  • • Hide the maths. The shipper service fee and carrier payout fee are visible on every match before you accept.
  • • Lock you in. Delete-on-request honoured under NZ Privacy Act 2020 within 30 days; full data export at any time.

Example only. All figures shown are illustrative. Lazi's service fees (5% shipper · 3% carrier payout) are current as at May 2026 and may change with notice — see the Terms. Card-processing costs vary slightly per transaction; the canonical figure is the live in-app calculation shown on each match before you accept.
